Public Funding/Legal Aid
Legal Aid (Public Funding) is available to deal with all aspects of family work. If you receive Income Support, Income Based Job Seekers’ Allowance, Income Based Employment and Support Allowance or Guaranteed Pension Credit you will normally be eligible for Legal Aid. If you are not receiving any benefits but have a low income or have no income or have no immigration status in the United Kingdom you may be eligible (this is subject to a Means & Merits test).
Non Means, Non-Merits Tested Public Funding is available for parents involved with Care Proceedings.
Private Funding
We can also offer privately funded work at a reasonable rate. You have a choice if appropriate of limiting the amount of work we undertake for you or limiting to which stage of the case you wish to reach.
