Our Holistic Approach

Over the many years that we have been practising Law we have recognised that our specialist legal approach to our clients problems needs to focus on the whole of the problem as a way of finding a proper, sustainable and successful legal outcome.

In simple terms this can mean recognising that our client’s legal problem is not necessarily just within one defined area of Law e.g. Housing Law but also requires us to use other law such as Community Care, Welfare Benefit and Debt. For example a client who is about to be evicted from their home whilst undoubtedly requiring the specialist help of a Housing Lawyer may also need the specialist help of a Welfare Benefit Lawyer to assess whether or not they are receiving their correct entitlement to benefits, a specialist Debt Lawyer to deal effectively with debts that have arisen and a specialist Community Care Lawyer if the relevant Community Care needs of themselves of their family are not being met by the appropriate authorities.

Another example would be in relation to a client who has been injured at work who although clearly requiring the advice, assistance and representation of a specialist Personal Injury Lawyer may also require advice, assistance and representation from a specialist Employment Lawyer, specialist Welfare Benefit Lawyer and specialist Debt Lawyer if they are as a result of the injury, facing problems with their employment, need to understand their Welfare Benefit entitlement and also to deal with debts that have arisen as a result of their injuries.

One of the main reasons Hereward & Foster covers so many Areas of Law is to enable us to offer such specialist holistic approach to the legal problems faced by our clients.

We also as far as possible try and ensure our clients are supported by appropriate support networks and therefore always seek to make effective referrals.
